Relay For Life kicks off tonight, motorists around T.A. Dugger advised to watch for pedestrians

The Carter County Relay For Life will kick off this evening at 6 p.m. and run throughout the night until 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The event will be held at the track at T.A. Dugger Junior High School.
Motorists in the area of the school are advised to use caution as many participants in the event will be parking along the side streets in the neighborhood and walking to the school.
An opening ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. and the Relay will begin at 7 p.m. with the Survivor Lap, followed immediately by the Caregiver Lap. The Luminaria Ceremony will be held after dark.
As part of the event a 5k Glow Run will be held beginning at 9:30 p.m. The run will leave T.A. Dugger Junior High School and follow a route through the downtown area before returning to the school. Motorists are cautioned to watch for runners during the time frame for the race.
