East Tennessee Foundation announces grant opportunities for Carter County nonprofit organizations

East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) will begin accepting applications on September 1, 2016 for grants to be awarded from the Elizabethton/Carter County Community Foundation (ECCF), an affiliate fund of East Tennessee Foundation.  Nonprofit organizations within Carter County are strongly encouraged to submit proposals for projects and programs that improve the quality of life for citizens of Carter County.  Grants generally range from $500 to $2,000 and will support one-year projects beginning January 2017.  Using an online grant application system, applications must be submitted no later than October 14, 2016 to be eligible for funding.
The Fund supports endeavors that build community goodwill, seek to solve community challenges, and produce results improving the quality of life for all citizens of Elizabethton/Carter County. Eligible applicants must be located within and serve residents of Elizabethton/Carter County, and be tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or other exempt entities.

Created through gifts from local donors who care deeply about Elizabethton and Carter County, ECCF gives donors a way to connect their giving with local nonprofits, public agencies and compelling charitable causes. ECCF, established as a permanent endowment, provides an on-going resource to fund endeavors creating opportunities and addressing challenges for all Elizabethton/Carter County citizens.
