The descendants, relatives and friends of William Berry Norris and wife, Martisha Ann Trivett Norris, will gather at the old Cranberry High School located at the intersection of Hwy. 194 and 19-E in Elk Park, N.C., for their annual reunion. The GFWC of TN Elizabethton Woman’s Club will have their general meeting on at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church. There will be a short business meeting followed by discussions on the project for the year. A date will be set for delivering the lap throws to Ivy Hall. All members who still have throws are asked to bring them to this meeting. The Arts and Craft Show deadline for applications has been changed to October 29. Applications may be picked up at the Library and the Parks and Recreation Building. Spaces are getting limited so get your applications in. Any lady wishing to attend this meeting is most welcome.

The Watauga Association of Genealogists will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnson City Public Library, 100 W. Millard St. Donna Cox Briggs will present the program. Briggs, a WAGS member, has recently taken the position as an archive assistant for the Washington County Archives.
