EPD seeks help to identify suspects

Investigators with the Elizabethton Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying these two male subjects in connection with a theft investigation.

Investigators with the Elizabethton Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a theft case at a local retail store.
The EPD is investigating an incident which occurred on Oct. 4 at approximately 6:40 pm at a local business. At that time an unidentified male subject attempted to walk out of the department store with several items.
When approached by store employees, the suspect fled on foot. The items the subject had attempted to take were valued at $487. Store associates were able to recover the merchandise when the subject fled.
Video footage obtained during the investigation suggests involvement by another unidentified male. With the help of the public, officers are hoping to identify these two subjects.
