Juvenile charged with murder from 2015 incident in Johnson Co.

A joint investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to charges being placed in a homicide that occurred more than a year ago.
In a statement issued by the JCSO, Sheriff Mike Reece began investigating a report of a missing person on December 6, 2015. The same day, 84-year-old Teruko Shaw was discovered deceased a short distance from her home.
During the course of the investigation, authorities developed a juvenile as a suspect in the case. The juvenile was 11 years old at the time of the incident. As a result of the investigation, the 12-year-old has been charged with felony murder, especially aggravated burglary and theft of property.
The subject is currently in custody in another state and is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
