Lone Star Steakhouse of Elizabethton officially closed for business on Friday, Jan. 20.

Lone Star Steakhouse of Elizabethton closed its doors for good on Friday afternoon.
Locksmiths were at the restaurant on Friday afternoon changing the locks to the facility.
A call to the restaurant confirmed the closure and the employee who answered the phone cited the move as a corporation decision to close down multiple Lone Star Steakhouse locations as well as Texas Land & Cattle restaurants, which are owned by the same parent company.
A search of the company’s website, www.lonestarsteakhouse.com, revealed the Elizabethton restaurant had already been removed from the website’s listing of locations. The website listed no restaurant locations within the state of Tennessee.
After contacting the store, a letter provided to the STAR from Day Star Restaurant Holdings, LLC – over the restaurants brands, stated the company has been “experiencing financial difficulties” and “unfortunately, we must now close numerous locations, including your location, effective immediately.”
A call to the Lone Star Steakhouse corporate offices in Plano, Texas, was not returned prior to press deadline.
