Students at East Side Elementary perform a song for members of the Elizabethton School Board and officials with Elizabethton City Schools as part of a special progressive lunch for School Board Appreciation.

Members of the Elizabethton School Board were treated to a special Board Appreciation Progressive Lunch on Thursday by the school system’s three elementary schools.
Each of the three schools hosted a different stop on the lunch tour and offered a different meal course to Board members as well as school system officials.
The Progressive Lunch began at East Side Elementary where staff and students treated the Board members to salad and appetizers. From there, the Board members traveled to West Side Elementary for their main course. The lunch tour finished up at Harold McCormick Elementary with dessert.
At each stop of the Progressive Lunch, the Board members and school system officials interacted with students and staff as they dined. Students at each school presented the Board members with hand-drawn cards thanking them for their service on the Board and their support of the schools.
This is the second year the elementary schools have collaborated to host the Progressive Lunch to show their appreciation to the School Board members.
