Seniors try their luck for St. Patrick’s Day with Bingo

Local seniors hoped to find the Luck o’ the Irish on Friday during a special St. Patrick’s Day Senior Bingo game.
Each Friday, the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center hosts a Bingo game and local business Shoe Sensation sponsored the event for St. Patrick’s Day. The company provided a variety of prizes including store discount coupons and gift cards as well as many other items. Chris and Sharon Wright also donated funds toward the purchase of prizes for Friday’s event.
Senior Citizens Center Director Kathy Dula thanked Shoe Sensation for sponsoring the event and praised Nancy Berry, one of the store’s employees, for her hard work in putting everything together.
“She did such a wonderful job,” Dula said of Berry.
Berry said sponsoring was a way for the store to give back to the community. The store also has several other events planned in the coming months, she said.
Dula said the Senior Center is always looking for businesses or individuals to serve as Bingo sponsors to provide prizes for the Center’s members.
