Elizabethton DMR team sets school record at DC/TC Relay

Over the weekend, the Elizabethton High School track and field teams made the trip over to Dobyns-Bennett where they competed in the Texas Roadhouse DC/TC Relay.
In the girls’ distance medley relay, Lady Cyclones Lauren Pilkton, Randi Feuchtenberger, Cami Davison and Heather Feuchtenberger all set a new school record as they took second place with a time of 13:40.34. EHS finished behind Dobyns-Bennett which recorded a time of 13:04.12.
Lady Cyclone Camryn Koroma took first place in the girls’ discus throw, while EHS’s Jasmine Roberts took fifth.
Koroma also finished in third place in the girls shot put as Roberts finished fifth. Finishing first was Brittany Nielsen of Cherokee High School.
In the girls’ triple jump, EHS’ Amber King had an eighth place finish.
On the boys’ side of the track, the 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams had fifth and eighth place finishes, respectively.
In the boys’ 1,600-meter run, Elizabethton’s Nicolas Street took 11th with a time of 5:12.65, while teammate Ethan Fields followed up in 15th at 5:20.85.
Elizabethton’s Jacob Turner finished 12th in the boys’ 100-meter dash with a time of 12.20.
