Cyclones host second track & field meet

On a clear spring day, the Elizabethton High School track and field teams hosted three squads for a home meet on LaPorte Track.
The Cyclones would finish the day with plenty of good showings.
In the field events, Lady Cyclones Jasmine Roberts and Camryn Koroma both had first place finishes as Roberts took first in the girls’ shot put and Koroma finished on top in the girls’ discus. Koroma also finished second in the shot put, while Roberts took second in the discus.
In the races, Elizabethton’s Heather Feuchtenberger took first in the girls’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:32.18, while her teammates Lauren Pilton and Randi Feuchtenberger took third and fourth, respectively.
In the boys’ 300 meter hurdles, Elizabethton’s Mikael Price took the top spot as he crossed the finish line at 46.68.
Cyclones Brett Smith rolled to a first-place finish in the boys’ 400-meter dash with a time of 55.26.
The Elizabethton 4×100 team of Zachary Hartley, Logan Norman, Jacob Turner, and Austin Outland topped Tennessee High with a time of 45.89. The EHS boys 4×200 consisting of Hartley, Smith, Jacob Turner, and Outland defeated Tennesee High with a time of 1:35.41.
The boys’ 100-meter dash saw EHS take the top three spots as Norman finished in first with a time of 11.63, while Outland and Turner finished in second and third respectively.
The Elizabethton girls’ 4×800 team of Camille Davison, Randi Feuchtenberger, Heather Feuchtenberger, and Chloe Lyons finished in first with a pace of 10:40.34.
