Despite recording nine hits, the Happy Valley Warriors just couldn’t get things rolling on the base paths Tuesday as they fell 11-2 to Sullivan North.
The loss eliminates the Warriors from the District 1-AA baseball tournament being played at Dobyns-Bennett High School.
Happy Valley’s Sage Haun, Will Hampton, and Taylor Hurley finished with two hits each. Haun ended the game with an RBI.
Tailing 5-0 in the top of the fourth, the Warriors posted a run as Happy Valley’s Landon Morefield scored off a fly out by Bailey Conley.
The Warriors would post one more run in the fifth as Haun brought home Bryce Carter with a fly single to left field.
