When Lavelle “Bo” Fair was married to L.D. Gorley, they teamed together in 1975 to write some beautiful sacred choral music. One of those songs, “His Name is Jesus,” will be re-premiered Sunday, June 25, at the 10:45 a.m. worship service at Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway.
Lavelle will be present to talk about the song and to accompany the Borderview Adult Choir during this special segment of the service.
Kenneth Hartley, bass soloist, will be featured in this beautiful octavo, which recounts several experiences of Christ with those in need.
Lavelle Fair has been playing the piano and organ for worship services most of her life. Her rich pianistic style is so inviting that one is encouraged to sing from the heart. The public is cordially invited to this re-premier event.
