Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan has been reaccredited by the Board of Commissioners of the Association of Theological Schools for another 10 years. Each of Emmanuel’s four degree programs were reaffirmed by ATS: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Christian Ministries, Master of Arts in Religion and Doctor of Ministry.
According to ATS, Emmanuel’s merger with Milligan College in 2015 has helped strengthen the seminary’s financial stability and provided support for marketing, recruitment and enrollment.
“While expected, we are very pleased that ATS chose to reaffirm Emmanuel’s accreditation, showing their confidence that we will continue to be successful as a combined institution,” said Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer.
Dr. Rollin Ramsaran, seminary dean, explained that accreditation is a process of peer review and accountability that provides quality assurance and quality improvement.
“It assures the public and our students of a standard of quality and our commitment to provide the finest theological education possible,” said Ramsaran.
