The Elizabethton Star would like to issue an apology to the family of Hampton High student Hunter Davenport for a technical issue with the social media platform Facebook. As stories were shared from elizabethton.com to Facebook, the website was pulling the photo used from a feature article of Davenport in with a variety of stories as the main art, including crime stories. Davenport was no way, shape or form associated with any crime stories that were shared to the social media platform. The Elizabethton Star is working with the website administrators and Facebook to address the issue so it does not occur again for any future edition. We would like to apologize to Davenport and his family for any inconvenience the glitch may have caused.
