Officers with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a string of auto burglaries in the county and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

On Tuesday morning, Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford released a statement about the auto burglaries along with a photo captured by a home security system of two suspects.

“There have been several thefts within the last three months in the Warrior Estates area,” Lunceford said. “We are asking for the communities help in identifying the suspects.”

If anyone thinks they may know these individuals, Lunceford asks that they please contact the Carter County Sheriff’s Office at 542-1846 or go to the department’s web site at www.sheriff.cc and leave a message by clicking on “Crime Tip” under the “Contact Us” menu. Information can be provided anonymously.

“We believe these thieves are thieves of opportunity and I would ask that everyone please lock their car doors at night,” Lunceford said. “If you see anyone that is out of place or walking around your neighborhood please call 911.”
