CCSO seeks public’s help to find missing man

Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing county man.

Family members of Bobby Mobley reported to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office that Mobley left his home in the Lynn Valley area of Carter County on foot around 7 p.m. on Dec. 21. Mobley has not been seen or heard from since that time.

Mobley is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 135 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black leather coat with a gray hood, camouflage pants, and tan boots.

Lunceford said his deputies have searched the area near Mobley’s home and along the river bank in Lynn Valley. According to Lunceford, Mobley’s family members have not heard from him and Mobley’s cell phone is off.

“I’m just hoping someone may have seen something or know something,” Lunceford said.
