The auditions will be for those interested in performing a speaking role in the drama as well as those who want to participate in a non-speaking role. Auditions for speaking parts will be held in a “cold reading” format where those auditioning will be asked to read from a portion of the drama’s script.

In addition to performing roles, the park is also looking for individuals to help in non-acting capacities as part of the Production Crew to assist with lighting, sounds, props, and other aspects of the performance. Individuals interested in that aspect of the drama are also asked to come to the auditions to learn more about the production.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Liberty! which is the Official Outdoor Drama for the State of Tennessee. The drama relates the history of the Watauga Settlement from its founding through the historic muster and march of the Overmountain Men during the American Revolution.
