Cunningham tosses shutout: Lady Cyclones storm past Sullivan Central

Lady Cyclones senior Kellie Cunningham was in top form Tuesday.
The Elizabethton pitcher only allowed two hits as she tossed a shutout during the Lady Cyclones’ 8-0 Three Rivers Conference win at Sullivan Central. Cunningham finished the contest with nine strikeouts.
The Lady Cyclones got to work early as they posted three runs in the top of the first inning. Two of those runs were the result a two-RBI single from Lady Cyclones Lauren Brickey.
Elizabethton put the icing on the cake in the sixth inning as the Lady Cyclones collected five runs in the frame with EHS’s Haley Fair, Kaylen Shell, Maggie Johnson, and Maci Herrmann all getting RBIs.
The Lady Cyclones (1-0, 1-0) will host David Crockett today.
