Hampton senior Shyanne Tuelle received a statewide nod this week to cap off her high school career.
The Tennessee Sports Writers Association named Tuelle to its 2017-18 Class A Girls All-State Team.
“That is a well-deserved honor and accomplishment,” said Hampton head girls basketball coach Bud Hazelwood. “Shows what kind of player she is. She went up against tough competition every night and played a tough schedule. I am tickled to death for her.”
For the past four years, Tuelle has played a crucial part of the Lady Bulldogs basketball team, a team that saw a trip to the TSSAA Class A State Semifinals last season.
Coming into her senior season, Tuelle, who surpassed the 1,500-point mark this past year, had already signed with the NCAA Division I Campbell University where she will play basketball for the Lady Camels.
