Rangers split series with North Greene, King records two home runs in game one

The Unaka Rangers hosted North Greene to Stoney Creek Tuesday to wrap up the teams’ two-game, conference series.
After the Rangers topped the Huskies, 3-2, Monday, North Greene rolled past Unaka, 8-2, Tuesday.
During Monday’s game, Unaka’s John Ramsey manned the mound as he tossed a complete seven. Ramsey retired 13 hitters against three walks. Ramsey finish with only three hits and two runs against him.
The Rangers would record two runs in the top of the first Monday as Unaka’s Blake King blasted a 2-run homer out of center field to net teammate Dakota Gallimore while moving the Rangers ahead 2-0.
It was King again in third as he crushed another home run out of centerĀ field to put Unaka up 3-0.
North Greene scored in the bottom of the sixth with a 2-run homer.
The Rangers will host South Greene on Thursday.
