County residents selected a number of individuals to represent them on the Carter County Commission during Tuesday’s County Primary Election.

Each of the county’s eight districts elects three residents of the district to serve on the Carter County Commission.

Below is a list of candidates who won in each of the districts and will now move on to the County General Election in August. Some of the Republican nominees will be unchallenged during the General Election, while others will face challenges from Independent Candidates.
