A male juvenile was taken to a local hospital for treatment after he was injured by going through the windshield of a vehicle.

Elizabethton Police Department Capt. Shane Darling said officers with the department responded to Pine Ridge Circle Thursday afternoon after 911 received a call reporting a male subject had gone through a vehicle windshield.

“The male subject who received the injuries was transported to a local hospital for treatment,” Darling said.

According to Darling, the cause of the incident and how the juvenile went through the windshield is still under investigation at this time.
