Following a successful campaign in which United Way of Elizabethton/Carter County led the community in raising more than $135,000, applications are now available to community agencies that want to receive funding in 2019. This is the first step in becoming an Impact Partner with United Way ECC in their fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Carter County.

Applications are available online. Last year United Way ECC partnered with eight local agencies to receive a monthly allocation of community funds totaling $84,000. Final applications for this year’s campaign are due June 2. The first week in June, a committee made up of United Way ECC directors and members of the community will review the applications, hear presentations from the applicants, and make a recommendation as to who should be selected as a partner.

“Our Impact Partners are a vital component of the work we do on behalf of this community,” said Director/Community Impact Coordinator Crystal Carter. “We are proud to work alongside our partners on the frontline of this community’s need, and we have had an exciting year welcoming new ventures and programs.”
