With sunny skies hitting the region, the public can can beat the heat in Elizabethton by visiting the Franklin Pool located at the Joe LaPorte, Jr. Recreational Area. Jennifer and Clinton Lund were two of the several patrons that were able to have some fun Thursday’s at the facility’s new splashpad, which was unveiled this year. The pool is open all week long throughout the summer.
