Twins collect 15 hits in 10-3 route of Burlington

A 15-hit night from the Twins allowed Elizabethton to roll past the Royals 10-3 Tuesday night in Burlington.
Twins right fielder Trevor Larnach worked the plate for four hits and four RBIs while teammate Chris Williams collected three hits and three RBIs.
Leading 5-3 after seven, the Twins collected five runs in the eighth inning with Williams connecting on a two-RBI double to net teammates Yeltsin Encarnacion and Trevor Larnach. Earlier in the frame, Larnach reached on an RBI single. Williams would score on an error while Twins Lean Marrero came home on a passed ball to add the Twins eighth-inning rally.
Elizabethton pitcher Kody Funderburk picked up the win as he tossed the final 3.1 innings. Funderburk, who came in for Brian Rapp, had four strikeouts with just two hits against him. Funderburk finished with one walk. Twins Austin Schulfer started for Elizabethton before being swapped out for Rapp after three innings of work.
Elizabethton (19-11) continued its series at Burlington Wednesday night.
