Highway 321 crash sends patient to hospital via Wings

A crash on Highway 321 in Hampton near the Rat Branch Boat Dock resulted in a juvenile patient being transported to the hospital via Wings Air Rescue Tuesday.
According to an officer with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the patient was in critical condition.
The head-on collision between an SUV and a smaller vehicle resulted in multi patients being transported to the hospital. According to scanner feed, eight people were injured with two of the people being adults and six being children.
An officer on the scene said that ice played a factor in the accident and that there were no charges at the moment, but the investigation was still ongoing.
