Jr. Cyclones roll to Pigeon Forge tournament title

Late last week, the T.A. Dugger Jr. Cyclones made their way over to Pigeon Forge to compete in a Christmas break tournament.

Rolling through their competition 5-0, the Jr. Cyclones picked up the tournament title inside Pigeon Forge Middle School.

The Jr. Cyclones topped Pigeon Forge (42-18) Burchfield (42-13), University School (55-29), Greeneville (50-29). In the championship game, TAD defeated Pigeon Forge, 57-41.

During TAD’s championship win, the Jr. Cyclones were led by a couple 13-point performances from Dalton Mitchell and Peyton Johnson. Mitchell finished the game with nine assists and five steals, while Johnson had five boards. Nate Stephens and Cade Russell each finished the game with ten points apiece.

TAD’s Bradley Cannon finished with six points while Kordell Kandoje and Luke Whaley had three and two points, respectively.
