On Mar. 8, 2019, a Carter County grand jury indicted 29-year-old Joshua Herman from Johnson City of raping a child under the age of 13.

Court documents say that Herman is being charged for allegedly sexually penetrating and having cunnilingus with a girl under 13

Also on Mar. 8, the grand jury also charged Herman with six counts of aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13.

Herman was arrested back in December after a woman reported that she had found sexually explicit photos of her child on her boyfriend’s phone.

Herman was then charged with three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
