Lady Cyclones to honor fallen teammates

Monday night the Elizabethton Lady Cyclone softball team will remember the lives of two Lady Cyclones who were taken from the world too soon. Jessica Robinson and Brittney Eggers will be honored as the Lady Cyclones will wear their initials over their heart in their contest against Unicoi County. Current seniors Haley Fair, Autumn Hensley, Kira Dillard, and Hannah Edwards hold the jersey that will be worn.
Once a Lady Cyclone softball player—always a Lady Cyclone softball player.
The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones know that Monday’s Three River Conference game against Unicoi County at home is always a big game on the schedule, but that’s not the only thing looming in the hearts of this year’s team.
When the Lady Cyclones take the field Monday, they will be wearing jerseys that bear the initials of their former teammates who left this life way too early.
The initials JR and BE will be visible above the heart as Elizabethton remembers Jessica Robinson and Brittney Eggers.
Family and former teammates of these young ladies are invited to come and show support for the Lady Cyclones and to remember the legacy that Robinson and Eggers left while donning the orange and black of Elizabethton Lady Cyclone softball.
