Jr. ‘Dogs roll over North in Tip-off Tourney, 53-17

The Hampton Jr. High Bulldogs hit the hardwood for the opening round of the Middle School Tip-off Tournament at Blountville Middle School on Monday proving that their bite was just as intense as their bark shredding the Jr. Raiders of Sullivan North 53-17.
It was a dominating performance as Hampton hit 23-of-50 from the field including 4-of-12 from the three-point arc to win going away. The Jr. Dogs claimed 23 rebounds, six blocked shots, and added 15 steals in the contest.
Dylan Trivette paced Hampton in scoring with 16 points while adding six rebounds, four steals, and two assists from his guard position. Hayden Campbell complimented Trivette’s effort by recording 14 points and collecting four rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
Michael Anspaugh pitched in with five points with Dominic Burleson and Grayson Young tickling the cotton for four points apiece in the win.
Geno Carrico played stellar on the boards pulling down five rebounds while dishing out four assists and adding one steal in the contest.
With the win, Hampton moves on to play Cloudland on Thursday at 7 pm at Blountville Middle School.
