Carter Sports HOF banquet set for Saturday

Starting at 6 p.m., the Carter County Sports Hall of Fame will hold its annual fall/winter induction banquet on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Elizabethton.
The new class includes Terry Williams, Ernest “Black Cat” Rasar, Henry Jenkins, Rocky Davenport, Rich Aubrey, Eddie Pless, Sam Bradshaw, Rikki Baughman, Sid Taylor, Samantha McClay, Mickey Taylor, Megan Heaton, Mike “Acey” Ensor, Wayne Phillips, Wes Forbes, Shirlene Campbell, Doug Blevins and Rik Anderson.
Also being honored is Happy Valley High’s 1973-74 Class S state championship basketball team.
Tickets to the event are $20 in advance/$25 at door or $15/$20 for past Hall of Fame inductees and children ages 13 and under.
