Lady Rangers continue early-season onslaught Run record to 3-0 with 13-0 win over Lady Bulldogs

If the first three games of the season are any indication, the Unaka Lady Rangers are going to be a team that will have to be reckoned with as Coach Kenneth Chambers team ran their record to 3-0 with a 13-0 win over conference rival Hampton on Thursday.
Trinity Bowers got the start and win from the pitching circle for the Lady Rangers as Kailey Wilson worked the final inning in relief.
After putting three runs on the board in the top of the first, the Lady Rangers and Lady Bulldogs engaged in a defensive battle until the fourth inning when Unaka’s bats came alive as Unaka brought 10 runners across the plate taking the 13-0 lead.
The Lady Rangers collected 15 hits in the contest led by leadoff batter Sadie Shoun who recorded a 3-for-4 plate performance with an RBI while scoring three runs for Unaka.
Kendall Bare, Alana Parsons, Noelle Collins, Lilie Kiser, and Beth Lowe added two hits apiece in a complete team effort offensively.
Hailey Gilman, Bare, and Kiser each knocked in a pair of RBI’s each. Kiser had two triples while Bare added a pair of doubles. Shoun and Collins also had a double.
For Hampton, Destini Milhorn and Madison Setlock collected one hit apiece to account for the two hits the Lady Bulldogs had in the contest.
