Elizabethton City Schools to close

On March 16, it was announced by Governor Lee that all schools in Tennessee are being urged to close. At this time, Elizabethton City Schools have announced their closure until April 3. An announcement from Carter County Schools is forthcoming.
It was previously reported that as of March 13, both were remaining open, Both school systems advised plans in place to continue education online with the best interests of students in mind.
