Lady Cyclone JV capture Blue Tech JV tourney

The Elizabethton Lady Cyclone JV softball team traveled to Unicoi County over the weekend and walked away as champions of the Blue Tech JV tournament.
In the weekend’s first game, the Lady Cyclones downed Happy Valley in an 11-6 final. Grace Martin was the winning pitcher for Elizabethton and helped her own cause with a double and drove in two runs in the victory.
The Lady Cyclones dropped their second game of the tournament to Unicoi losing a tight-fisted 3-2 final.
Cheyenne Poiroux had two hits in the contest while Ember Jensen scored a run and reached base twice.
On Saturday morning, the Lady Cyclones took the field against North Greene and came away with a 9-4 win. Maddie O’Quinn took the win from the pitching circle.
Elizabethton followed that contest up with another tight game against the Lady Rangers of Unaka winning the close game by a 3-2 score.
Martin picked up her second win of the tournament from the pitching circle. Kenidy Harris had two RBI’s in the game with Emma Pendagrass collecting the other RBI.
The championship would see Unicoi and Elizabethton butt heads again but this time the Lady Cyclones prevailed winning the game 7-1.
Madisun Pritchard was the winning pitcher for the Lady Cyclones. Harris had a three-run homer while O’Quinnn slapped a double and a triple.
