• Saturday, March 21

Rocky Top Gun Permit School has canceled its handgun carry permit class scheduled for March 21 and rescheduled for April 18. Instructor Ken Potter said the cancellation is brought about by the heightened awareness of the coronavirus. He hopes this has not inconvenienced anyone. PAL, a new support group for adults with loved ones battling addiction to drugs/alcohol, will meet at 11 a.m. at the Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition, 546 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton. The weekly meetings offer education, support, HOPE, and the knowledge that you are not alone. Roan Mountain Lodge #566 F.&A.M. will meet in Stated Communication at 305 Conway St. at 7 p.m. All members in good standing are encouraged to attend and visiting brethren are always welcome. The 206th Annual Communication of F.&A.M. of Tennessee will meet March 25 and 26 in Nashville.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will meet at First Baptist Church, 212 East F St., Elizabethton. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
