City Council calls emergency meeting

The Elizabethton City Council has called an Emergency Session Meeting today at 4 p.m. via teleconference only pursuant to Executive Order 16 issued on March 20, 2020, by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
The purpose of the emergency meeting is for consideration of a resolution adopting policies for expanded family medical leave and emergency sick leave, and exclusions for certain staff under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
There will be no physical access permitted to the public in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public, however, members of the public can attend the meeting through the app Zoom at bit.ly/elizabethtoncitycouncil or by calling 1-646-558-8656 and entering meeting ID 2666550108#.
The City Council is not required to be physically present together and council members attending the meeting by electronic means will be counted in the quorum and will be entitled to vote with all votes taken by roll call.
