A Ford SUV ran off the left side of the road approaching Pleasant Beech Baptist Church from Watauga on Wednesday. One person was sent to the hospital to be checked on after the accident.

Emergency personnel from the Carter County Sheriff's Department, Carter County Rescue Squad, and Watauga Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident on Watauga Road.

A Ford SUV found itself off-road when the driver lost control coming from Watauga just past the Taylor Avenue turnoff and went across the road ending up on the side of the bank.
Emergency personnel including the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, Watauga Volunteer Fire Department, and Carter County Rescue Squad responded to the accident.
One person was taken to the hospital to be checked out after the accident according to a member of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office.
C&K Wrecker Service was on-site to pull the SUV out of its predicament and to tow the vehicle from the scene.
