A downtown Saturday vintage car drive-in held more in store than just over 800 vehicles that covered every inch of Elk Avenue.
A group of about 20 protestors carried signs and chanted ‘No Justice, No Peace’ as they marched from the Covered Bridge Park through the downtown area on the sidewalks joining hundreds of other protests across the country after the death of George Floyd earlier in the week.
Floyd, who was pinned down under the knee of a police officer, passed away after the incident raising concerns of social injustice and racism toward the black race.
Organizers were planning a second march downtown Tuesday evening according to several Facebook accounts.
