FROM STAFF REPORTS
ELIZABETHTON – The Carter County Health Department is moving the location of
the drive-through COVID-19 testing site to the small parking lot of the First Baptist Church
near the intersection of East G Street and Holston Avenue.
This change will take effect on Monday, July 20.

COVID-19 testing hours for Carter County remain the same: Monday – Friday between
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The First Baptist Church is located at 212 East F Street in Elizabethton.
Testing will take place in the smaller parking lot that is located across the street from the Carter
County Health Department along Holston Avenue.
Entrance and exit for testing will only be from Holston Avenue. Cones and signage will direct
traffic flow around the perimeter of the parking lot to the testing tent.
There will be an entry and exit lane for testing.

Entrance and exit from Lynn Avenue, at the opposite end of the parking lot, will be
completely blocked off.
There will no entry or exit from this end of the lot.

Early voters and campaigners will have access to the larger church parking lot across from
the Election Office which will remain open as normal, subject to the church’s usual
permission.
