Labor Day closings announced

Elizabethton City offices will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday. Due to the closing, garbage collection for the week of Sept. 7-11 has been altered. Monday through Thursday scheduled collections will be picked up one day late with Thursday and Friday being collected on Friday.

Also, the Carter County Courthouse and Criminal Justice Center will be closed Monday as will all state and federal offices.

There will be no mail delivery Monday as the Elizabethton Post Office will be closed.

Also, all financial institutions will be closed Monday.
