Two local athletes join elusive 1,000th point club

Two local basketball players recently added their name to the elusive 1,000th point club for their prep careers.
Unaka’s Will Sexton and Elizabethton’s Morgan Headrick added their name to the club during the week leading up to Christmas.
Sexton accomplished his feat in the Rangers 82-61 defeat at the hands of Unicoi County. Sexton registered 10 points in the contest including the points needed to reach 1,000 career points.
Headrick knocked down 21 points in the Lady Cyclones win over First Baptist Academy to add her name to the list of players who have entered their names into the club throughout the years.
Congratulations to both players for reaching this special level in their playing careers.
