Church glass broken by projectile
FROM STAFF REPORTS
As Roan Street Church of God members arrived for services on Sunday morning, they were quickly made aware of a broken window above the front entrance to the church as what appeared to be some sort of fired projectile that had penetrated the first layer of the double-paned glass.
The church is located at 113 North Roan Street in Elizabethton.
Elizabethton Police Department Cpl. Justin Pearce arrived at the end of services to take photos and file a report of the incident.
Church leadership was informed there had been no other reports of damage that morning however a source within the department reported that some businesses in the downtown area had experienced the same type of damage to their property.
If anyone witnesses this type of destruction of property, you are encouraged to contact the Elizabethton Police Department immediately.
