A one-car accident at 169 Blue Springs Road resulted in a non-life-threatening facial injury to a 90-year-old female driver on Wednesday afternoon.
Carter County emergency personnel including the Carter County Rescue Squad, Sheriff’s Department, and Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
The accident involving a Ford Explorer took out the resident’s fence row, mailbox, and a bear warning sign before coming to rest and splintering an evergreen tree.
The cause of the accident was unknown at the time.
