Bulldogs take two on Warrior Hill

Hampton and Happy Valley took to the hardwood over the weekend to make up a game that weather had postponed earlier.
The night belonged to the Bulldogs as both the girl’s and boy’s teams came out on top in their respective contest.
Girls
Hampton………68
Happy Valley… 31
Hampton rode a big first quarter to a 39-18 halftime advantage and never looked back in taking the road victory.
Linsey Jenkins poured in 12 first-half points and Madi McClain tossed in 11 to help Coach Brandon Carpenter’s team seize early control of the contest.
Kenzie Ramey scored eight for the Lady Warriors in the half. Marcida Moore and Scarlett Zeoli contributed with four each in the opening half of play.
The Lady Bulldogs Piper Helle and McClain totaled eight second-half points each to put the game out of reach for the Lady Warriors. Jenkins netted seven.
Ramey added four more to her scoring sheet in the second half for Happy Valley.
McClain (nine assists and four steals) and Jenkins (four assists and nine rebounds) tied for game-high honors as both Lady Bulldogs struck for 19 points apiece. Ramey led the Lady Warriors with 12.

The state-ranked Bulldogs continued to display a high-octane offense as Coach Ned Smith’s Bulldogs soundly defeated cross-county rival Happy Valley by 52 points.
Hampton built a 48-16 lead and never was challenged in the second half. A total of 11 ‘Dogs scored in the contest led by 14 from Cadon Buckles and 12 from Michael Harrison. Morgan Lyons posted double figures as well with 10 points.
Dakota Grindstaff led the Warriors with nine points – all from beyond the three-point arc.
