The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Carter County Candidate forum for the people of the community to meet and talk with the candidates that will be on the 2022 May 3 Primary ballot as well as the Aug. 4 General Election ballot.
Candidates for Carter County Mayor, Sheriff, Trustee, and County Clerk will be gathering for the forum on March 15 at the historic Bonnie Kate Theatre located at 115 S. Sycamore St., Elizabethton.
From 6 to 6:45 p.m., candidates will have the opportunity to meet and greet the public. This informal mix and mingle will allow citizens to learn a bit more about each candidate’s campaign. From 7-8 p.m., will be a forum moderated by retired Washington County Sessions Court Judge John Kiener.
