• Saturday, March 19
Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton will host a gardening seminar series, Vegetable Gardens, from 9 a.m. until noon in the Community Room. The seminar will be presented by two master gardeners, Ben Hunter and Vonda Little, who will discuss how to grow vegetables to maximize yield with the least amount of effort. There are things that you can do to accomplish each of these desirable benefits. The event is sponsored by N.E. Tennessee Master Gardeners and Sycamore Shoals State Park and is free to the public. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will meet at First Baptist Church, 212 East F St., Elizabethton. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeing starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
