The Elizabethton Business and Professional Women organization is accepting applications for the 2022 Business and Professional Women Scholarship.
Applicants must be a 2022 graduate from an Elizabethton/Carter County high school, which includes Cloudland High School, Elizabethton High School, Hampton High School, Happy Valley High School, and Unaka High School.
Additionally, applicants must not have received the scholarship during a previous year; must be enrolling as a full-time student in the Fall of 2022 at a two-year college, technical school, or a four-year school in Tennessee; and must have a GPA of 2.7 or maintain a B- average.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded by a review committee. Interested applicants can find details at the organization’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/elizabethtonbpw/announcements.
Applicants must provide a one- to two-page typed essay that includes a short autobiography including information about achievements, work experience, community involvement, hobbies, extracurricular activities, what you plan to study in college and your career goals.
Applications, essays, and transcripts will not be accepted via email, and should instead be mailed to BPW Scholarship Chair Amber Farley at 1414 Highway 133, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 30, and all materials should be postmarked by that date to be considered by the organization.
