Cloudland rides big fourth inning to win over Happy Valley

Leading 3-0 after three innings of play, Cloudland erupted for 11 runs in the fourth inning in their cross-town contest with the Lady Warriors of Happy Valley.
The result was a 14-0 blanking of the Lady Warriors by Coach Matt Birchfield’s team.
Leadoff hitter Karah Fields was 3-for-4 to lead the Lady Highlanders in the contest picking up the win from the pitching circle as well. Ryan Turbyfill also added a 3-for-4 day at the dish with a double and two singles.
Cloudland’s Layken Blair had two doubles while Saharra McKinney, Kendall Birchfield, and Taylor Hicks also rapped out two base hits in the contest.
Laura Rice and Makayla Miller collected the only hits in the game for Happy Valley.
