The Carter County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the theft of mail from families that live in a trailer park on Siam Road.
According to reports, CCSO Deputy Tim Garland met with Chelsea Gregg at 2484 Siam Road lot #2 in reference to the theft.
In his report, Garland stated that Gregg informed him that over the past few months that she had noticed some of their personal mail missing. The morning of March 28, Gregg said that she had observed a white female who she believes lives inside the trailer park, go through each individual mailbox of the residents that lived inside the trailer park.
Gregg had a video of the female going through the mail and holding letters up toward the sun in an attempt to see what the letters contained and then gathered the pile of mail that she had stacked and walked further into the trailer park.
Garland stated in his report that Gregg did not know the individual or where they lived in the trailer park. In his investigation of the video provided, Garland said there could have been as many as 25 victims.
The landlord of the trailer park was notified and both Gregg and the landlord were advised to call the CCSO immediately if they can identify the suspect.
