Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce to host Legislative Breakfast

Local officials, state legislators, and federal representatives will be taking part in the Carter County Legislative Breakfast on Friday to provide updates to citizens on legislative issues and how they affect our community.
The event is sponsored by the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, which is partnering with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology’s Elizabethton campus as well as International Paper.
Officials are invited to provide updates on key issues they have been working on and what their goals are for the future. Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger will be in attendance along with a number of other local officials, state legislators, and federal representatives.
Those running for a local office in Carter County and attending the event will have the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves.
The event will take place at Elizabethton’s TCAT campus. Doors will open and breakfast will begin to be provided at 8 a.m. on Friday, with the program beginning 30 minutes later at 8:30 a.m.
